    Venturetec was engaged to diagnose the current state of innovation of an international healthcare group comprising of Health Insurance, Health Services and Aged Care businesses.

     

    The innovation diagnostic identified priority areas for the organisation to focus its future innovation efforts; including a rebalancing of the innovation investment portfolio. Venturetec also utilised data and insights from the diagnostic to design a roadmap for the client to successfully build innovation capabilities and culture across all business/functional units.

    Trey Zagante

    Founder & Managing Partner

    Trey is a globally experienced consulting executive, startup advisor, and thought leader on lean innovation, corporate venturing and tech commercialisation. He has over 15 years experience launching, scaling and turning around businesses, and was previously a co-founder of VanceInfo Technologies Australia, which was acquired by global private equity firm Blackstone and subsequently sold to HNA Group. Trey is on the expert panel for the Australian Government's entrepreneur infrastructure program, and is adjunct faculty for Hong Kong Polytechnic University's graduate program in Management Consulting. He holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

    Vivian has successfully led several M&A transactions and ASX-listings including the reverse-takeover of Sausage Software by SMS Management & Technology (ASX: SMX), and the IPO of DWS (ASX:DWS); two of Australia's most successful listings of IT Services companies. She has over 30 years experience in a management and senior leadership roles cross a range of professional services firms and was previously a co-founder of VanceInfo Technologies Australia, which was acquired by global private equity firm Blackstone and subsequently sold to HNA Group. Vivian serves as the Australian Director of several NASDAQ-listed bio/med-tech companies. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma of Corporate Governance, she is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

    Deirdre has over 25 years experience as a banking and wealth management executive across funds management, investments, insurance, banking, financial advice and innovation. Using lean innovation methodology, she provides expertise in building future-growth investment strategies, business model innovation, culture transformation and practical executive coaching. Deirdre's previous roles include head of Citi’s retail banking and wealth management business, head of private wealth advisory & specialised investments at NAB and national distribution roles with Macquarie Bank. Deirdre mentors student startups at UNSW, USYD and UTS. Deirdre is an Independent Non-Executive Director & Investment Committee Chair at MINE Super, and Chair of Firetrail Absolute Return Ltd currently listing on the ASX.

    Marianna Petrenko

    Marianna is a lean Innovation and business model design expert with over 10 years experience in tech startups and consulting roles spanning Australia, China, Singapore and the US. Marianna heads Venturetec's lean innovation practice, and was previously the Australia Country Head for Usability & Design Lab (Beijing). Her experience includes leading commercialisation projects across a range of industry sectors/technology domains, and coaching corporate innovation and startup teams at CSIRO's ON Accelerator (Lean Launchpad), GE FastWorks and Generator @ GE accelerator, Australia Post Accelerator, and the Hult Prize global social enterprise accelerator. Marianna has trained with global innovation thought leaders including Alex Osterwalder (Strategyzer), Steve Blank (Stanford), and Brant Cooper (Moves the Needle).​
